Protein A is a cell wall componentsI composed of a single polypeptide chain of molecular weight 42 kDa produced by Staphylococcous aereus (Cowan Strain). The protein A employed  is recombinant form containing the Fc binding sites without any albumin binding sites. Protein A is capable of binding to the Fc portion of immunoglobulins, especially IgGs, from a large number of species. Protein A will bind the Fc portion of human IgG subclasses, IgM, IgA and IgE; and mouse IgG1 (weakly), IgG2a and IgG2b. Protein A also binds IgGs from other species, including monkey, rabbit, pig, guinea pig, dog and cat.

  • Adembeads coupled with protein A present a perfect spherical shape  with an important surface area (10 square meter / g)
  • Convenient for small scale Ig purification and immunoprecipitation.
  • Starting sample can be saliva, plasma, ascites, serum and tissue culture or hybridoma supernatants.
  • Magnetic technology (= No columns without centrifugation) introducing a high specificity
  • Rapid procedure (<1h)
  • Recombinant form of the protein A without albumin-binding sites, thus reducing co-purification of contaminating proteins. Only the Fc binding sites are present.
  • Convenient for a large number of immunoprecipitation: up to 100 per ml
  • Typical results:

Bio-Adembeads (300nm) coated with high quality Protein A covalently coupled to the surface. This product is available in:
- 2ml / 04230 (100 immunoprecipitations)
- 5ml / 04231 (250 immunoprecipitations)
Supplied in storage buffer (code number 10201) proclin 300 as a preservative.

PAG Elution Buffer (code number 10701) = Optimized elution method in order not to release antibody crosslinked to Bio-Adembeads Protein A
